Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson is one of Europe’s greatest Paralympic athletes. She competed in five Paralympic Games, winning 11 gold medals, 4 silver and 1 bronze, she won the London Wheelchair Marathon a total of six times and has broken 35 world records. In 2005 she was made ‘Dame’ Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE for her services to sport and in 2010 she was elevated to the UK’s House of Lords as a “people’s peer”.  With specialist interest in sport, disability, health and youth development she sits on the cross benches, bringing a wealth of experience and authority to the House.

She has also been the Chancellor of Northumbria University since July 2015.

A very strong communicator, Tanni is brilliant at motivating and inspiring an audience, be it a small gathering of CEOs or a large room of employees.
