As CEO of ING Group (2013–2020) and the UBS Group (2020–2023), he built a reputation for modernising global banking operations while navigating periods of significant technological disruption and economic uncertainty.  During his tenure at ING, Ralph led one of the banking industry’s most widely recognised digital transformations, reshaping the organisation around agile working, innovation and customer experience. Under his leadership, ING became regarded as one of the world’s leading digital banks, pioneering new approaches to mobile banking, data-driven services and organisational culture.

At UBS, Ralph oversaw one of the world’s largest wealth management institutions during a period of major global economic and geopolitical change.
