He served as Director-General for the Research and Statistics Department before leading the Monetary Affairs Division, where he played a key role in shaping Japan’s monetary policy during a period of significant economic transformation. As Executive Director and later Assistant Governor, he represented Japan at G20 and other major international forums, contributing to global economic dialogue and policy coordination.
