Samiran Ghosh's Biography

Samiran Ghosh is a Mumbai-based technology strategist whose 29-year career spans leadership roles at McKinsey, Microsoft, IBM, Dun & Bradstreet, and TCS. A recognized authority on artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital transformation, he advises boards and governments on harnessing emerging tech for inclusive growth.

As Chief Digital Advisor at Microsoft (2014–2018), Samiran pioneered the Connected Vehicle, Digital Agriculture, and Smart Cities platforms—initiatives that continue to shape how organizations reimagine customer engagement and operations. Earlier, his 14-year tenure at IBM covered consulting, research, and product innovation, including a sabbatical year architecting authentication frameworks for Aadhaar, the world’s largest digital-identity program.

In 2024, Samiran was inducted as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, recognizing his outstanding contributions to statistical methodology and his role as an ambassador for statistics in the scientific community. He co-authored The AI Book, featured in the Forbes Executive Library, offering insights into the integration of AI in financial services.
