Yasin Kasirga Keynote Speaker

Yasin Kasirga is a decarbonization leader and keynote speaker — one of the few energy-transition voices who speaks from inside the work rather than from the sidelines.

Over more than 20 years, Yasin has built the real machinery of the energy transition: more than 11 GW of power capacity (more than the installed power capacity of 65 countries) — over 5 GW of gas-fired generation and 6 GW of renewables, including hydro, solar, geothermal and 25+ wind farms — across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His work spans the full spectrum of climate technologies — low-carbon fuels and molecules, carbon capture and direct air capture — always balancing the “energy trilemma” of affordability, reliability and sustainability. Today he leads a carbon solutions business across the MEA region.

As a Senior Advisor to the COP28 Presidency, Yasin helped architect the historic global pledge to “Triple Renewable Energy and Double Energy Efficiency by 2030” and coordinated and compiled the landmark report behind it. Earlier in his career he led business development for Alstom and managed $1B+ EPC contracts at Gama Power and Calik Enerji. He holds an Executive MBA and degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Middle East Technical University, and is pursuing a Ph.D. on sustainability and net-zero stakeholder impact at UCAM.
