Jaime Luque Keynote Speaker

Jaime Luque is a Madrid-based real estate economist and Full Professor at ESCP. He directs the Institute of Real Estate Finance & Management and holds the Government of Monaco’s Chair in Real Estate Tech Innovation (2020–present). He serves as Board Advisor of Upper Echelon, a private, vetted network for family offices, investors and founders aligned around long-term legacy, co-investment and the future of private capital.

Jaime’s work sits at the intersection of affordable housing, urban economics and PropTech. His books include Urban Land Economics (2015), Rays of Research on Real Estate Development (2016) and Affordable Housing Development (2019). He received the Aspen Institute’s Ideas Worth Teaching Award in 2017 for innovation in teaching on housing and cities. Recent peer-reviewed work includes a 2024 Real Estate Economics study on short-term rental technology adoption.

In 2025, he joined the European Commission’s Housing Advisory Board to contribute expertise to the forthcoming European Affordable Housing Plan. He also leads the PropTech Global Trends Annual Barometer with the Government of Monaco (2021–present) and co-organised the Low-Income Housing Supply & Housing Affordability conference series in Madrid (2019), Tel Aviv (2022) and Los Angeles (2024).
