Aurelie Jean's Speaking Topics

  • AI and Future of Work

AI is revolutionizing the job market by transforming tasks, industries, and organizational structures, while also necessitating the upskilling and training of the workforce. To understand AI's impact on jobs, one must grasp its current technical and scientific capabilities, its future potential, and its inherent limitations. This understanding allows us to identify job tasks that can be AI-assisted, fully automated by AI, or exclusively performed by humans. Furthermore, it enables the creation of new tasks that leverage uniquely human intelligences—emotional, practical, and creative—complementing AI's analytical capabilities.

  • AI: Embracing Opportunities, Avoiding Threats and Dispelling Myths

In public discourse, several myths and lies about AI are circulating, including the idea of robots exterminating humanity or completely replacing jobs. To effectively leverage AI, it's crucial to grasp its current scientific and technological capabilities, future potential, and inherent limitations. This understanding will enable us to embrace its incredible possibilities and opportunities while mitigating concrete threats like technological discrimination, environmental impact, and adverse effects on democracy and jobs.

  • AI Governance: Building and Deploying Trustworthy AI Solutions

AI offers incredible opportunities, but also poses threats that necessitate a robust AI governance system. This governance must extend beyond legal frameworks, empowering all stakeholders in an organization's AI projects to develop, deploy, and utilize trustworthy AI solutions that uphold individual fundamental rights. AI governance encompasses technical and non-technical best practices, including tests on AI models and datasets, ethical AI principles, and clear rights, duties, and obligations for each stakeholder. It applies to all individuals, technical and non-technical, who develop or use AI solutions in their respective industries.

  • Regulating AI: Fostering Innovation Responsibly

AI presents immense opportunities alongside threats, necessitating a strong legal framework. This framework must safeguard fundamental human rights while fostering innovation for universal benefit. To achieve this, we need to develop new, enduring regulations that consistently encourage innovation. Such an approach will enable countries and key players to excel scientifically and technologically, enhancing their competitiveness in AI and its diverse applications.
