Better Together: How To Build a Culture of Belonging

The landscape of leadership and organizations has changed. Whether in a corporate or volunteer setting, team members and clients want a sense of community. However, this doesn’t happen on its own—it’s built through intentional action. Princess Sarah’s keynote is for groups ready to take on people challenges and build a culture of success.

Princess Sarah draws on her deeply personal journey—growing up as an adopted child in a bi-racial family and later discovering she was a real-life princess in Sierra Leone. Combined with her entrepreneurial experience in entertainment and gaming, she brings a unique, multidimensional perspective on leadership, inclusion, and belonging.

In this inspiring keynote filled with stories and practical value, Princess Sarah explores three key areas:

  • Embrace your assumptions to elevate yourself and those around you.
  • Be willing to get uncomfortable and have the challenging conversations.
  • Navigate with compassion and use humanity to listen and learn to drive decisions.

Princess Sarah customizes each keynote for her audience—helping leaders, teams, and clients cultivate belonging, connection, and shared purpose.

Princess Found: You Are More Than Your Title

Raised in West Virginia by her adopted parents, Sarah Culberson had little knowledge of her ancestry. She grew up in a loving, white household but carried questions about her identity and biracial roots that eventually led her to hire a private investigator in 2004. What she discovered would forever change her life: she was related to African royalty. Her biological grandfather is the Paramount Chief of a village in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and Sarah is considered a Mahaloi—with the status of a princess.

In this heartfelt and inspiring keynote, Princess Sarah takes audiences on her journey from princess to humanitarian, reminding us that everyone must earn their title—whether as a mother, a company leader, or a new team member. Titles alone don’t define success; our actions and values do. Through warmth, humor, and storytelling, she shares lessons that transcend roles and resonate deeply across personal and professional lives.

Attendees will learn to:

  • Build a community and culture rooted in authenticity and inclusion.
  • Embrace who you are and honor your unique story.
  • Overcome your fears to live your dreams with courage and purpose.

From dancer to princess to humanitarian—co-founding the nonprofit Sierra Leone Rising to support education, public health, and female empowerment—and as an educator serving as Director of Outreach at the Oakwood School in Los Angeles, Princess Sarah embodies resilience and empathy.

This keynote invites every attendee to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and transformation—to lead with purpose, kindness, and heart.

Fear to Fabulous: Overcoming Your Fears & Taking On Dreams

In Fear to Fabulous, Sarah Culberson explores how she achieved her dream of connecting with her biological family—an experience that transformed the trajectory of her life for the better. What began with the fear of rejection became a journey of discovery, belonging, and purpose. By stepping into the unknown, Sarah met her family, connected with her tribe, and embraced a new responsibility to uplift those with limited visibility and opportunity.

Discovering her heritage revealed a calling that now drives her humanitarian work. As co-founder of Sierra Leone Rising, she partners with local leaders to advance education, infrastructure, public health, and female empowerment throughout Sierra Leone. With both a BFA and MFA in theater, Sarah has mastered the art of communication and uses her voice to advocate for diversity, equity, and self-discovery.

In this empowering keynote, Sarah inspires audiences to embrace their fears as catalysts for growth and transformation—showing that when you take courageous action toward your dreams, you not only change your own life, but also create ripples of impact for others.
