Working with Sir Alex Younger over the past few years has been one of the great privileges of my career at Chartwell Speakers. I am heartbroken by the news of his death. Managing Alex’s post-MI6 speaking engagements gave me a front-row seat to his extraordinary intellect, deep sense of duty, and wonderfully sharp sense of humour. He brought clarity, perspective and humanity to every conversation, and was as generous and kind privately as he was impressive publicly. Alex was a remarkable man, and I will miss him immensely. My thoughts are with his family and all those who loved him.

David is the founder and Chair of Principia Advisory - the leading consultancy for conduct, ethics, and culture change. A distinguished moral philosopher, David worked for almost two decades at the University of Oxford where he was Co-Director of the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict and Co-Founder of the Oxford Changing Character of War program. He is an award-winning author and has published widely in leading academic journals.
A Rhodes Scholar from New Zealand, David began his career at the Boston Consulting Group. In 2011 he was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a ‘Young Global Leader’, recognizing the most distinguished leaders in all fields below the age of 40. He is a recipient of the European Prize for Military Ethics, the American Philosophical Association Sharp Prize, and the Presidential Medal of the Republic of France in recognition of his contribution to ethics.
