Ed Conway's Biography
Ed Conway is a writer and broadcaster. He is the Economics and Data Editor of Sky News and a regular columnist for The Times and Sunday Times. He has written two critically acclaimed and bestselling books and has won numerous awards for his journalism. His 2024 book Material World, has been nominated as one of the Financial Times Book of the Year. To write this book, Ed traveled the globe – from the sweltering depths of the deepest mine in Europe, to spotless silicon chip factories in Taiwan, to the eerie green pools where lithium originates – to uncover a secret world we rarely see
Ed has written two other critically acclaimed and bestselling books “The Summit: The Biggest Battle Of The Second World War – Fought Behind Closed Doors” (Little, Brown, 2014), a riveting account of Bretton Woods. Additionally, he demystifies the subject for the layman with “50 Economics Ideas You Really Need to Know” (Quercus, 2009).
Ed contributes to academia and research. He holds a governor position at the National Institute for Economic and Social Research.
