Solomon Hykes is a pioneering technology entrepreneur and the creator of Docker, the open-source platform that transformed how modern software is built, shipped and deployed. Born in the United States and raised in France, Hykes developed a passion for programming at an early age. After studying computer science at Epitech in Paris, he co-founded dotCloud in 2008, a platform-as-a-service startup that later evolved into Docker. What began as an internal tool quickly became one of the most influential open-source projects in modern software development.

As co-founder and previous Chief Technology Officer of Docker, Hykes led the technical vision behind a platform that revolutionised how organisations package, distribute and scale applications. Today, containerisation underpins cloud-native computing and is used by organisations worldwide.

Hykes has been widely recognised for his influence on the technology industry, including being named to Forbes 30 Under 30. He is Co-founder of Dagger, a developer platform designed to modernise CI/CD pipelines and simplify software delivery.
