Monica Vinader's Biography
Monica Vinader is the CEO and founder of Monica Vinader Jewellery. Monica grew up surrounded by arts and objects from her parents’ antiques business, an influential force that has guided her entrepreneurial spirit and eye for design. After graduating from art school in London, Monica immersed herself in the jewellery world and worked her way up before deciding to go it alone, creating bespoke pieces from her converted forge in Norfolk, with an office, showroom and workshop all under one roof. As the business has scaled, Norfolk remains at the heart of the design process, where she and her creative team develop all of the collections.
At the debut of the brand in 2008, Monica Vinader won Brand of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards, and has since been stocked by global luxury retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Net-A-Porter and Boutique 1.
The brand is deeply committed to the ethical sourcing of its products and works closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to its code of conduct. Monica Vinader is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, which addresses human and labour rights, environmental impact and mining practices within the jewellery supply chain. The brand has also been awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury for its outstanding commitment to sustainability.
In 2025, Monica Vinader received the BVCA Inspirational Women Award for her leadership of the high-growth jewellery brand, as well as the Positive Luxury Awards’ Responsible Luxury Business of the Year award. The BVCA accolade recognised her as an inspirational female founder, while the Positive Luxury award highlighted the brand’s pioneering sustainability efforts — particularly its commitment to a circular economy and supply chain traceability.
