The Magic of Authentic Storytelling
As August comes to a close, people are returning to work energised and full of stories about their travel adventures, personal achievements and family milestones. I recently travelled from Singapore to Chartwell headquarters in London to connect with the Chartwell team where we shared stories with each other about our lives and interests outside of work.
Stories, told with passion and enthusiasm, remind us how quickly we can feel connected and inspired by others. In today’s screen-dependent and AI-minded generation, the ability to tell authentic stories allows people to connect on a human level.
Organisations that create opportunities for teams to come together in-person is one of the most valuable investments a company can make in its talent, culture and identity. Providing employees with a sense of shared purpose lifts spirits and increases workplace resilience, wellbeing and happiness.
Great stories motivate others to take action, think differently and imagine new possibilities. A compelling story not only helps us retain more information and recall important details, it can transform personal behaviour and change business outcomes.
Stories – when shared with authenticity – have the power to build trust, strengthen social bonds and help teams work together more effectively.
Chartwell represents a range of world-class storytellers with extraordinary experiences and insights that can inspire and energise entire organisations. Some of them are listed below.
