Tsega Gebreyes's Biography

Tsega Gebreyes is the Managing Partner of Satya Capital, which is the private equity fund of Mo Ibrahim, the Sudanese telecommunications billionaire.

Satya Capital has invested between $20-50 million into companies with a wide portfolio of products and services such as Whitedent (Tanzania’s most popular toothpaste), the O3b satellite constellation and integrated healthcare in Nigeria.

Tsega was formerly the Chief of Strategy and Business Development at Celtel International, where she played an instrumental role in attracting capital for investments in Africa and was a driving force for multi-country expansion across Africa.

Tsega was founding partner of NAOF, a $120 million private equity fund currently managed by Zephyr Asset Management. She has also served as director on a number of company boards.

Tsega has an MBA from Harvard business school.
