Michael Lynton & Josh Steiner's Biography

Michael Lynton is the Chairman of Snap Inc., Schrödinger, and Warner Music Group. He sits on the board of several other corporations and nonprofits including the UK’s Channel 4, The Board of Regents of the Smithsonian, and the RAND Corporation.

Previously, Michael served as Chair and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. where he was responsible for the TV, film, and music businesses from 2004 until 2017, and additionally as CEO of Sony Entertainment Inc. and Sony Corporation of America from 2012 to 2017.

Prior to joining Sony, he worked at The Walt Disney Company, where he started Disney Publishing and subsequently served as President of Disney’s Hollywood Pictures, Pearson plc – where he was Chair and CEO of Penguin Group, and Time Warner AOL where he was CEO of AOL Europe, President of AOL International, and President of Time Warner International.

Joshua L. Steiner is a partner at SSW, a private investment firm, and member of the board at Bloomberg, L.P., where he was previously Head of Industry Verticals. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Steiner co-founded and was co-president of Quadrangle Group, LLC, a private equity and asset management firm. Before co-founding Quadrangle, he was a managing director at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC. From 1993 to 1995 he served as chief of staff for the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

He currently serves on the boards of Yale University, the International Rescue Committee and the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Steiner received a B.A. in history from Yale and an M.St. in modern history from Oxford University.

He lives in New York City with his wife Antoinette Delruelle. They have three children.
