Jon Lang Keynote Speaker

Jon Lang is a recognized leader in geopolitical and geoeconomic risk advisory, specializing in the impacts of trade, export control, investment screening and industrial policies on corporate strategy and global supply chains. Jon serves as Senior Vice President and the firm’s lead for economic security policy at APCO, a global geopolitical and public affairs consultancy.  Jon works with clients in the technology, consumer goods, health care, logistics, energy, agriculture and financial sectors, developing tailored strategies to identify and mitigate corporate exposure to geopolitical and geoeconomic risk.

For several decades, Jon has worked at the nexus of global business and international politics and policymaking. Before joining APCO, Jon served as Practice Head for Trade and Supply Chains at Eurasia Group, a leading geopolitical risk advisory firm, advising clients in the Americas, Europe and the Indo-Pacific. Jon previously worked in multiple U.S. presidential administrations, including as Director for International Economic Affairs in both the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council during the first Trump administration and as Senior Director for Global Markets at the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.

Jon’s analysis of geopolitics and global trade and supply chain policy has been featured by multiple global media outlets both as an on-air and print contributor, including CNBC, CNN, the BBC, Politico, Nikkei Asia, the Washington Post, and the FT, among others. Jon holds a bachelor of arts degree from Georgetown University, a master of science degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
