Deborah Collier's Biography

Deborah Collier is a globally-recognised expert on strategy, leadership and the future.  She is an engaging, thought-provoking and inspirational keynote speaker, who has addressed audiences of CEOs, leaders and professionals at government ministries, fortune 500 companies, blue-chip organisations and SMEs around the globe.  She has spoken at large stadium events, presented awards and hosted large outdoor entertainment events of over 3,000.

Deborah is President and Founder of the world’s Digital Skills Authority, a media group CEO and plural board member specialising in strategy, visionary leadership and the future. Digital Skills Authority is a global industry awarding body, training and licensing organisation for digital, digital business, marketing, advertising and future skills. It grew from a series of management and leadership certification programs in digital business and marketing, with a global digital governance framework, digital business and marketing methodologies used by leaders and teams at government ministries, blue-chip organisations and businesses around the globe.

She is Group CEO of Portman Collier, a media group involved in executive level production in TV / Film, a Non-Executive Director at a leading UK government-funded skills education organisation and creator of educational TV series, Toward Utopia.  Her professional history has also featured roles as a Director of Strategy & Innovation, founder of a music portal and label, and early career positions at PwC and JP Morgan.

Deborah is an influential figure with a following and network of well-known global brands, leaders and professionals in academia, business, media, government and entertainment for her work and insights. In 2016, she was listed in a publication’s ‘Top 100 Most Influential Chief Marketing Officers in the World’. An innovator, thought-leader, philosopher and digital champion, her expertise also includes years of practice, research and analysis into how digital, media and social networks interplay with humanity.

Deborah has appeared on Channel 4 News and live radio, as well as in The Telegraph, MarketingWeek and a number of industry publications internationally for her insights on social networks, the media, the future, digital and business.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, a member of the Media Society and Mensa (a society which “aims to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity”).
