Solutions journalism, anchored in credible evidence, explains to the audience how and why responses are working or not working. Amelia’s international solutions reporting spans the realms of tech, innovation, international development, futurism, climate change and social justice.

She makes long and short form documentaries around the world and is the host of Fast Company’s “World Changing Ideas” podcast where she interviews CEOs, experts and thought leaders. Amelia has worked for a number of award winning teams across the BBC & World Service, including #100Women, BBC3 and People Fixing the World, with her work being regularly featured on TV, digital, radio and social media platforms.

Prior to joining the BBC, Amelia worked for Bloomberg TV in New York and was the tech and innovation correspondent for Jim Cramer’s TheStreet.com. She covered the start-up scene in New York’s ‘Silicon Alley’ and frequently reported from the New York Stock Exchange.

She has worked with multiple news and media organisations including: CNN, DW News, The Atlantic, Mail +, Planet A, Newsweek, USA TODAY, Ventures Africa and The Huffington Post. She has conducted keynote interviews, spoken on expert panels about tech, futurism and innovation and advised companies on storytelling and green initiatives.
