Nigel Webber's Biography

Nigel Webber is a Chartered Accountant, who has developed his expertise in investment, trends, and opportunities during a 35 year career.

Nigel joined HSBC plc in 1998 and after 7 years as Head of Investment Management in Hong Kong, he returned to London in 2007 to take up the position of Chief Investment Officer for Global Private Banking.

As CIO of HSBC Private Bank, Nigel travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and the Americas presenting the bank’s investment views to clients – in forums of up to 350 people. Over the past 7 years he has given presentations to over 200 events.

As Chairman of the Global Investment Committee for HSBC Private Bank, Nigel was responsible for the investment strategy and asset allocation for HSBC Private Bank clients across all asset classes globally, covering assets of approximately US$ 250billion.
