Dominic Wilhelm's Biography
Dominic Wilhelm is the Executive Director of The Global Trust Project, a global advisory and learning practice working across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to improve performance through operationalising trustworthiness.
His work focuses on a simple but often overlooked reality: trust is an outcome; trustworthiness is the work. Drawing on decades of research, Dominic developed the Trust Equity Framework and its core diagnostic, the Trust Equity Index (TEi) – an evidence-based approach that measures and strengthens the relationship between trustworthiness and performance. He supports leaders to translate abstract concepts such as trust, culture, and alignment into observable behaviours, leadership cadences, and system-level mechanisms that improve execution.
Dominic has worked with senior leaders across multinational corporations, governments, and global networks, including organisations such as ABB, XPRIZE, YPO, the Central Bank of Nigeria, and public institutions and municipalities across Africa and Europe, including in Norway and South Africa. His engagements are often convened in confidential, high-trust environments under protocols developed by The Global Trust Project, enabling candid dialogue and deep engagement on complex, high-stakes challenges.
In addition to his advisory work, Dominic contributes to the academic field of trust, including adjudicating doctoral research in this domain. He brings a systemic, non-reductionist perspective, combining the art and science of trust to understand how trustworthiness shapes performance across interconnected human and organisational systems.
Dominic speaks globally, often in confidential settings, about leadership, organisational performance, AI and trust, and the role of trustworthiness in enabling effective institutions and resilient societies. Known for demystifying trust, he presents it as a fundamentally human endeavour from which performance, growth, and societal outcomes follow. His sessions are characterised by sincerity, warmth, humility, and intellectual rigour, creating space for honest reflection and deep audience engagement.
