STORRY's Biography

STORRY is a keynote speaker, JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter and filmmaker whose work explores power, resilience and leadership through lived experience and art.

A survivor of sex trafficking, STORRY spent years under coercive control before rebuilding her life through music, storytelling and advocacy. Today she brings those insights into conversations about leadership, culture and personal agency, helping audiences rethink what power really is and how it can be used responsibly.

A finalist on The Voice UK, she has performed internationally, opened for artists including Sting and Tom Jones, and collaborated with Stormzy. Her work has also intersected with global brands including LinkedIn and Michael Kors.

Alongside her music career, she speaks at universities, corporate events and international forums, working with organizations such as the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking, Ella’s and the Canadian Embassy.

She is currently developing a book, The 5 Laws of Real Power™, which reframes leadership as the ability to create agency, influence and expansion – both within individuals and within organizations.

Her keynotes are not just talks – they are experiences. Blending storytelling, sharp insight and, in select formats, music. STORRY creates moments that cut through the noise, shift perspective, and stay with audiences long after they leave the room.

STORRY's Speaking Topics

  • The 5 Laws of Real Power™: Rethinking leadership, influence and agency in a world addicted to control

We’ve been sold a lie about power... that it means control. Over outcomes. Over people. Over perception. But the more tightly we grip, the more things start to break - trust, creativity, relationships, even performance.

In today’s workplaces, disengagement and low trust are often the result of power being used to control rather than develop - where pressure is high, autonomy is low, and leadership is driven more by ego than self-awareness.

In this keynote, STORRY introduces The 5 Laws of Real Power™, a framework shaped by lived experience inside coercive control and the process of rebuilding agency from the ground up. Through sharp insight and honest storytelling, she reveals how power actually operates beneath the surface and what it takes to lead in a way that strengthens both individuals and the systems they’re part of.

  • Rewriting Your STORRY: Resilience, identity and the courage to begin again

Who do you become after everything falls apart? Most people aren’t stuck because of what happened to them, they’re stuck because of the meaning they made about it. At a certain point, the mind stops responding to reality… and starts recreating it.

In this emotionally powerful keynote, STORRY shares her journey from exploitation to self-authorship as a study of identity, narrative and choice. Blending storytelling, insight and (optionally) music, she explores how we become trapped in mental loops and how we can interrupt them, reclaim our power, and begin again.

  • Burnout, Boundaries & Being Human: Why high performers break & what actually fixes it

You can’t climb a mountain with a broken leg. And yet, that’s exactly how many people are trying to work. In modern workplaces, people are expected to deliver more, respond faster, and stay constantly available while their capacity to recover gets pushed further and further down the list. The result? Tired, disconnected and mediocre output in their work, creativity, and ability to think clearly or lead effectively.

Drawing from her lived experience of navigating extreme control, STORRY brings a unique lens to how people respond under pressure - and why environments that undermine autonomy rarely produce strong or sustainable results.

In this keynote, she explores what actually drives burnout and what it takes to build environments where people can perform, create and lead without breaking.

  • Creativity for Change: Why the people solving your biggest problems might be the ones you’re not listening to

Most organizations say they want innovation, but they operate in ways that kill it. In a world facing increasingly complex challenges - logic alone doesn’t get us all the way there. We need imagination. We need new perspectives. We need people who think differently…. We need creatives.

In this thought-provoking keynote, STORRY challenges conventional ideas about creativity. You don’t need to be a “talented artist” - creativity is a way of thinking that unlocks solutions others can’t see. Drawing from her work as a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller, she explores how creativity operates under pressure and how it can be cultivated, even in people who don’t see themselves as creative.

  • Own The Room: Voice, Body and the Art of Being Heard

You can use the right words… and still not be heard. Because power isn’t just what you say. It’s how you show up while saying it.

In high-pressure environments, people disconnect from their voice, their body and the energy behind their communication. They rush, overthink, shrink or try to sound like someone else and their message loses impact.

In this experiential keynote, STORRY explores how voice, body and delivery shape how ideas land - in the boardroom, on stage, or in everyday conversations. Drawing from her work as a speaker, singer and performer - and her own journey of reclaiming her voice from silence to international stages - she shows how individuals and teams can communicate with clarity, conviction and impact, and fully own the room when it matters most.

“What stood out the most was STORRY's willingness to be vulnerable and share her personal experiences with human trafficking through her words and music. It was evident she had poured their own struggles and triumphs into their songs, which made the performance all the more meaningful and relatable. This was one of the most moving and memorable speaking and musical performances we have ever offered at Algoma University. STORRY’s willingness to be vulnerable and share their deepest emotions through their music created a truly intimate and unforgettable experience.”

“STORRY was absolutely phenomenal to work with. At our youth symposium on human trafficking prevention, she shared her experience in a way that was both honest and deeply moving, while making the psychological exploitation easy to understand for a young audience.
