David Rodin's Biography
His work has helped to transform the fields of organizational ethics and military ethics, and he advises some of the world’s largest private and public organizations on leadership and culture.
David is the founder and Chair of Principia Advisory – the leading consultancy for conduct, ethics, and culture change. With a global team, Principia provides strategic advice at Board and CEO-level to some of the world’s largest organizations particularly in the technology, banking, professional services, and the third sector.
A distinguished moral philosopher, David worked for almost two decades at the University of Oxford where he was Co-Director of the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict and Co-Founder of the Oxford Changing Character of War program. He is an award-winning author and has published widely in leading academic journals.
A Rhodes Scholar from New Zealand, David began his career at the Boston Consulting Group. In 2011 he was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a ‘Young Global Leader’, recognizing the most distinguished leaders in all fields below the age of 40. He is a recipient of the European Prize for Military Ethics, the American Philosophical Association Sharp Prize, and the Presidential Medal of the Republic of France in recognition of his contribution to ethics.
