Konrad Bergström's Biography

Konrad Bergström is the Stockholm-based serial entrepreneur behind some of Sweden’s most successful startup and scaleup brands of recent years including electric boat manufacturer, X Shore, and Zound Industries (the tech giant that produces consumer electronics for Marshall Amplification and Adidas).

A household name in his homeland (regarded as one of the country’s top sustainability tech entrepreneurs), during his time in London, Konrad can announce his latest entrepreneurial projects: Strategic Advisor and Investor for Zurich-based eco luxury soap manufacturer, Soeder, and Co-Founder for handcrafted gin brand, ÓGIN Distillery.

Konrad is the recipient of one of Sweden’s highest honours, The King’s Medal, in recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements. Since founding his first business in the late 1980s, Konrad has been at the heart of business developments in his homeland and contributed to Stockholm’s reputation as ‘the Silicon Valley of Europe’.

An engaging public speaker, Konrad has spoken at numerous global conferences, including: Slush in 2015, STHLM Tech Fest 2019, World Expo 2020, Techarenan Summit 2022 and The UBS Disruptive Technology CEO Summit in October 2022.

In a time of ‘self-made entrepreneurs’ (who in reality had financial support from the beginning), Konrad started from nothing and experienced every twist and turn of the entrepreneurial journey: significant success following homelessness and sleeping in his car following bankruptcy.
