Steve Nouri, an award-winning technical leader, has carved a notable niche for himself in the field of AI, data science, and machine learning. As the founder of AI4Diversity, a global non-profit initiative established in 2018 with over 4,000 volunteers, he is deeply committed to educating and advising communities on AI’s societal benefits, with a particular focus on ethical technology application. His career is a testament to his dedication to ethical AI practices and his efforts to foster a global understanding of AI’s potential.

After obtaining his Master’s in IT and Data Analytics from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2010, Steve embarked on his professional journey as a Software Engineer in the tech industry. His exceptional skills quickly led him to ascend to the role of Head of Data Science at Nod in 2014, where he significantly influenced the strategic direction and development of advanced analytics. His remarkable career trajectory includes prestigious roles such as Head of Data Science for CSIRO’s Data61 from 2016 to 2018, the Australian Computer Society, and as a postgraduate lecturer at his alma mater. In 2021, he took on the role of Global AI Ambassador and Advisor for Boab, focusing on ethical AI entrepreneurship, particularly in Asia.
