Hamza Yassin's Biography
Hamza Ahmed Yassin is a celebrated British wildlife cameraman, presenter, and author known for his captivating work on CBeebies as Ranger Hamza and his contributions to shows like Countryfile and Animal Park. With a deep passion for Scottish wildlife, Yassin has become a beloved figure in the industry.
Born in Sudan on February 22, 1990, Yassin moved to the UK at a young age, not knowing any English. Despite facing the challenge of dyslexia, he excelled in his studies and earned a degree in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University. He further honed his expertise with a Master’s in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham.
Inspired by the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, Yassin immersed himself in studying the local wildlife, ultimately establishing himself as a sought-after wildlife cameraman. Currently residing in Kilchoan, he finds inspiration in the natural wonders surrounding him.
Yassin’s on-screen presence has captivated audiences of all ages. His portrayal of Ranger Hamza on CBeebies’ Let’s Go for a Walk has endeared him to children and adults, fostering a love for nature. He has also authored a captivating book based on the series, connecting readers to the wonders of the natural world.
