Roger Lee's Biography

Roger Lee is an accomplished animation and visual effects professional whose career spans more than two decades across some of the world’s leading studios. He currently serves as a Lighting Supervisor at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he has spent over 14 years helping shape the visual storytelling and cinematic look of many of Disney’s most celebrated animated films and series.

Before joining Disney Animation, Roger worked at Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Television Singapore, building extensive expertise across feature films, television animation and visual effects. Throughout his career, he has become known for his ability to blend artistry and technology to create distinctive visual styles and immersive animated worlds.

Roger’s filmography includes some of the most successful animated productions of the modern era. His recent credits include Zootopia 2, Moana 2, Wish, Strange World and Zootopia+. Earlier Disney projects include Encanto, Raya and the Last Dragon, Far From The Tree, Frozen 2, Jing Hua, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Moana, Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph. Prior to Disney, he also contributed to acclaimed productions including Rango and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Collectively, the productions Roger has worked on have earned widespread industry recognition, including 5 Academy Awards, 3 Golden Globe Awards, 4 Annie Awards, 2 Daytime Emmy Awards and 3 PromaxBDA Awards.
