Ellie Taylor's Biography

Ellie Taylor is a comedian, actress, writer and television presenter who has entertained audiences for over a decade. As a sought-after speaker, she draws on the vast experience she’s accumulated from years on both the stage and screen.

As of 2022, Ellie has appeared as a contestant on various shows, including Strictly Come Dancing, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Chase, and Celebrity Squares. As a panellist, she has been featured as a guest on many shows such as Hypothetical, Insert Name Here, QI, Would I Lie To You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and she appeared in various episodes of Mock the Week. She hosted Don’t Tell The Bride Goes Global and multiple episodes of Live at the Apollo.

Ellie has showcased her acting talents on television with recurring roles in Plebs, The Mask Report and Brotherhood. Her presenting catalogue includes shows such as The Great Pottery Throw Down, Yesterday, Today & the Day Before, The One Show and Snog Marry Avoid? She’s also one-half of the Ellie and Anna Have Issues podcast.

Ellie began her career as a stand-up comedian, performing at various comedy clubs in London. She soon began to appear on television and was discovered on the comedy contest show Show Me the Funny in 2011. Before comedy, Ellie was a model, working on various campaigns for companies such as Pantene, Asda and Matalan.

Since 2015 Ellie has written and performed five comedy shows: Don’t Got This (2019-21), This Guy (2017–2018), Infidelliety (2016) and Elliementary (2015). Her 2019 show Cravings was featured as a Netflix special as part of their Comedians of the Week offering.

Along with her television prowess, Ellie is also an accomplished author. Her Sunday Times bestseller My Child and Other Mistakes (2021) is a raw and candid biography that gives insights into motherhood and what it entails.

Ellie uses her sharp wit to entertain audiences while teaching the importance of being funny. She is sought-after as a public speaker for her observations about life and relationships.
