Jonas Kjellberg's Biography

Jonas Kjellberg is a Co-Founder of Skype and digital transformation expert. Today, he is the Chairman of the Board at Nornorm (backed by IKEA), Digital Transformation Speaker, Author, and Investor

As co-creator of Skype, he worked as Managing Director helping generate 90 percent of their revenue stream. Currently, Kjellberg runs Gear Up Ventures, a company that focuses on implementing the innovation and entrepreneurship model set out in his book ‘Gear Up‘.

Previous roles include CEO and Founder of Campuz Mobile (acquired by Vodafone) and Optimal Telecom (part of Tele2). He has also been Vice President of Bertelsmann for Lycos Europe, CEO and Partner of Wyatt Media Group and head of the online business area for Investment AB Kinnevik. He founded further companies Player.io (which sold to Yahoo) and was Chairman of the board of iCloud (which sold to Apple).

Alongside his current business ventures, Jonas lectures at Stanford University and Stockholm School of Economics on topics including entrepreneurship and how to create a winning sales culture. His talks centre around how the interaction of products, sales and profitability are key to successful business.

Jonas has co-authored two books titled Gear Up: Test Your Business Potential and Plan Your Path to Success and Gear Up: Bring Business Opportunities to Life and Business Creation. Currently he is working on two further books around social and creative entrepreneurship.

Jonas also coaches entrepreneurs through a corporate investment and incubation firm, BCG Ventures, as well as his own company Gear Up Ventures which implements the innovation and entrepreneurship model set out in his books.
