Leesa Soulodre's Biography

Leesa Soulodre is a frontier-markets investor, entrepreneur and Founder & Managing General Partner of R3i. Her work sits at the intersection of deep technology, regulation and institutional capital — the systems through which emerging industries are financed, governed and scaled.

She works with founders, institutions and public-sector stakeholders to identify structural shifts early and turn frontier capabilities into investable markets, and speaks internationally on technology, market structure and responsible AI. She serves as a Board Advisor to the AI Asia Pacific Institute, co-founded TRIUM Angels, and was a 2025 Responsible AI Leader finalist in the Women in AI Awards, North America.

Her path to the frontier was not a straight line: trained as a nurse, she went on to serve in the Royal Australian Army — 139 Signals — before building and scaling telecommunications and technology businesses from the ground up — an early grounding in discipline, systems and getting things done under pressure that still shapes how she operates today.
