Michel Koch's Biography

Michel Koch is a leading authority on e-Commerce strategies and management. He is currently the UK and International E-Commerce Director of Maplin Electronics, where he defines, develops and implements the Maplin corporate-wide e-Commerce strategy to drive long term growth and profitability.

After having played a pioneering role as Head of New Media at Sony Music in the early 90’s, he has fulfilled several senior executive positions in French and international B2C and B2B multichannel companies (including Bertelsmann, Manutan, Quelle and Conrad Electronics). Michel has also served as Cross-Channel Director of Camaïeu, a leading brand in women’s ready-to-wear fashion at the international level. With a team of 12 he was in charge of the eCommerce, CRM and Digital activities, which launched the “connected customer” project (mobile) and the “click-to-store delivery” process.

He left Camaïeu in 2013 to join Marks and Spencer as Head of International Multichannel Trading.
