Vanessa Kingori's Biography

Vanessa Kingori OBE is Managing Director for Technology, Media & Telecoms at Google in the UK and Ireland, helping organisations translate AI and platform shifts into growth with integrity and pace. She brings two decades at the highest levels of media and technology to audiences, blending commercial acumen with a mission-led approach to leadership.

At Condé Nast, Vanessa served as Chief Business Officer for the UK (2021–2023) and, before that, as Publishing Director of British Vogue (2018–2023) — the first woman in the role and the company’s first Black publisher. Earlier, she led British GQ across platforms, spearheading digital reinvention and new revenue models. These milestones underpin her credibility on transformation, brand building and inclusive growth.

Recognised for impact beyond the boardroom, she co-created #ShareTheMicUK to amplify Black women’s voices through high-profile allyship, reaching audiences in the hundreds of millions. Recent honours include Business Leader of the Year at the Power of Women Awards (2024), and she continues to be featured among Britain’s most influential leaders. Her forthcoming book, The Otherhood, explores modern influence, community and career reinvention.

In 2025, Vanessa’s perspectives on search, culture and creativity featured on major stages including SXSW London and Deloitte’s Media & Telecoms “2025 and Beyond,” where she set out a practical blueprint for thriving in an AI-accelerated market. As a keynote speaker, she equips leaders to navigate disruption with clarity, purpose and measurable outcomes.
