Rupy Aujla's Biography

Bestselling author, podcaster, TV presenter and international health and wellness speaker, Dr Rupy Aujla is on the European Congress for Integrative Medicine Education Committee. He is an adept public speaker who makes audiences of all sizes feel included, engaged and inspired through his knowledge and expertise; covering a range of topics from nutrition and health to mental and physical wellbeing which can be adapted to empower a range of audiences through talks and interactive workshops.

Dr Rupy’s life was changed when he suffered a debilitating heart condition as a junior doctor. Determined to aid his recovery, he began researching nutritional medicine and was able to reverse his condition by adapting his nutrition and lifestyle. He is now the founder of ‘The Doctor’s Kitchen’, which strives to inspire and educate everybody about the beauty of food and medicinal effects of eating well. Creating healthy and delicious recipes using carefully selected ingredients, he explains the clinical research behind them and shares this knowledge with his audiences.

A Sunday Times bestselling author, he has written three books, and a fourth, ‘Cooks’, was released in January 2023. His podcast, ‘The Doctors Kitchen’, has over 12 million downloads weekly. In this he explores the wider world of health and well-being with expert guests. Dr Rupy has had two BBC food series, ‘Cooking in The Doctor’s Kitchen’ and ‘Thrifty Cooking in the Doctor’s Kitchen’, as well as his primetime Channel 4 show ‘Cook Clever, Waste Less’ with Pru Leith.
