Rubens Barrichello's Biography
Rubens Barrichello is one of the most experienced and respected racing drivers in history, renowned for combining exceptional speed with resilience, consistency and humility. Between 1993 and 2011 he lined up on the Formula One grid a then-record 322 times, racing on the sport’s most iconic circuits and under intense global scrutiny.
A key figure in Formula One’s modern era, Barrichello drove for Jordan, Stewart, Ferrari, Honda, Brawn GP and Williams, securing 11 Grand Prix victories and 68 podium finishes. At Ferrari (2000–2005) he partnered Michael Schumacher, twice finishing runner-up in the World Drivers’ Championship and contributing to five consecutive Constructors’ titles, before playing a pivotal role in Brawn GP’s fairy-tale title-winning season in 2009.
After leaving Formula One, Barrichello raced in the IndyCar Series in 2012 and then returned to Brazil, where he won the Stock Car Pro Series titles in 2014 and 2022 and added the NASCAR Brasil Series championship in his rookie season in 2025, aged 53. He has also finished runner-up at the 24 Hours of Daytona and, in 2024, secured the Porsche Endurance Series title, extending a career defined by adaptation, endurance and competitive edge. Away from the cockpit he has become a broadcaster and digital creator, co-hosting the Acelerados YouTube channel, which now reaches nearly two million subscribers and more than 500 million views worldwide.
Alongside his racing commitments, Barrichello serves as Non-Executive Director in Latin America for iGaming technology company SOFTSWISS, connecting a champion’s mindset with data-led decision-making and product innovation.
