Mark Thompson's Biography

Mark Thompson is a best-selling author, business coach, venture capitalist and Broadway producer. A man of many talents, Mark is CEO of Virgin Unite Mentors, a successful network that he co-founded with Richard Branson for executive coaching and entrepreneurial innovation. Mark is an expert on business innovation, leadership and development, who brings real-time solutions to today’s leadership challenges. Forbes magazine recently named Mark as a top investor with a Midas touch.

Prior to his work with Virgin, Mark was Chief of Staff at Charles Schwab and now counts Charles Schwab as his mentor. Mark’s expertise developed through his work with healthcare and software companies. As an investor in both types of business Mark has worked with Google and Apple’s top music applications company and a leading cancer genetics research company.

As well as being a best-selling author of three books, Mark has been on the faculty at the World Economic Forum and the World Business Forum. Mark is also a member of the Clinton Initiative and an executive coach for TED. Mark is an expert and prolific speaker on a variety of business matters. As one of the pioneering business leaders in the US today Mark’s insights and predictions are highly sought after.
