Magnus Lindkvist's Biography

Magnus Lindkvist

Magnus Lindkvist is one of the most sought-after speakers globally on the subjects of trends, trendspotting and future possibilities. He is Director for Trendspotting and Future Thinking at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship and an active member of TED, the world’s leading trends forum.

In 2003, Magnus used his background in management consulting and brand strategy to found an influential Swedish trendspotting agency, Pattern Recognition. This helps companies make sense (and money) out of the future by shifting from nice-to-know futurology into need-to-know trendspotting. He has worked with some of the world’s leading companies within IT, media, financial services, logistics and manufacturing. The company is located in Stockholm, Sweden and currently employs a team of experts ranging from quantitative analysts to behavioral scientists.

Magnus gives internationally renowned presentations. He was named Sweden’s Business Speaker of the Year in 2009 and is the author of two highly acclaimed books, “Everything We Know is Wrong!: The Trendspotter’s Handbook” (Marshall Cavendish Corporation, 2009) and “The Attack of the Unexpected” (Marshall Cavendish Corporation, 2010).
