Jenk Oz's Biography

Jenk Oz is a 21-year-old social entrepreneur, public speaker, and the founder and CEO of Thred Media, a Publishing, Media, Consulting, and Content Production company aimed at Generation Z.

The central tenet of the business is the Gen Z-focused website Thred.com, where the writing team covers all aspects of youth culture in 17 different languages. The site has over 6000+ published articles and reaches young adults in 220+ countries and territories. It has won several awards, including the Digiday Greater Good Award, the Anthem Award (Diversity/Equity/Inclusion), the Vodafone Business Award, the W3 Awards, an International Davey Award, and an Amazon AWS Activator Award.

Jenk recently launched a second website, Thredmedia.com, where he houses his Gen Z consulting business. This business focuses on helping brands, agencies, and research houses better understand Gen Z’s beliefs, behaviours, and consumer trends. Clients include Coke, Google, Instagram, Ford, Twitch, Microsoft, Snapchat, Dunkin, Lego, Vodafone, Hilton, and Thred Media is Ogilvy’s primary Gen Z research arm worldwide.​

Jenk has been featured by Forbes, Business Insider, Fortune, Fast Company, AdAge, and Campaign magazine as well as having won several awards, including Forbes 30 Under 30, Media Week 30 Under 30, Professional Publishing Association Next Gen Award, Digiday Future Leader Award, and Webby-Anthem Young Leader Award.

On the speaking circuit, Jenk enjoys discussing the future of Generation Z, Young Entrepreneurship, GIG Economy, Social Change, and the new Youth Employment Paradigm with the hope of helping other young people develop their impactful ideas. He has spoken at over 90 conferences, including three TEDx Talks, seven Model United Nations conferences, the Vox Marketing Conference NYC, and the Forbes 30Under30 Summit.​

Jenk is a Google Z-Council, Oracle for Startups, and Microsoft Surface young entrepreneur team member. He also sits on the marketing boards for Founders4Schools, Math4Girls, and he is an Ambassador for Global Citizen, Climate Science, and Earth Day.

Jenk is studying for his piano diploma and enjoys DJing across the UK and Europe in his free time.
