Harry Saul Markham's Biography
Harry Saul Markham is a British author and speaker on identity, extremism and liberal democracy. His debut book, The Melted Pot: Diversity, Antisemitism, and the Limits of Tolerance—cancelled by one publisher and later released to acclaim—has drawn endorsements from Sir Stephen Fry, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Steven Pinker, Lawrence Krauss and Andrew Doyle. With a foreword by a British Sheikh working for change, the book challenges silence and appeasement in mainstream institutions and argues for a reimagined multiculturalism rooted in democratic integrity.
Educated in History and Jewish Studies at University College London, Markham received the Wiesel–Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship and became a Junior Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy in 2023. That same year, he joined the Advisory Board of Academics for Academic Freedom. In 2022, he led counter-extremism initiatives and Jewish–Muslim engagement as Head of Research & Policy at the Association of British Muslims, and from 2020–2021, served as National Director of Herut UK.
Once a bottom-set special needs student told he would never write confidently, Markham defied expectations to become a published author and recognised voice in public debate. Today, he speaks to policy makers, universities, think tanks and major media platforms. His blend of research, lived experience and unflinching honesty equips audiences to engage meaningfully with the cultural and political challenges of our time.
