He has investigated some of the biggest cryptocurrency thefts in history, including the legendary Mt Gox hack of 2014, and the billion-dollar crypto-crime campaign waged by North Korea. He has also tracked crypto's use a key money laundering vector. Changpeng Zhao, CEO of the world's biggest crypto firm Binance, named Geoff's book on North Korean hacking as his pick for 2022, tweeting: "If you hold crypto, you need to know the basics of security".
