Christine Chow's Biography
Dr Christine Chow is an awards winning global investment leader whose 25-year career sits at the crossroads of capital markets, corporate governance, artificial intelligence and sustainability – the forces reshaping how the world’s largest pools of capital are deployed and held to account.
Few speakers can match the scale of her track record. As Managing Director at UBS Asset Management, she grew assets under stewardship fourfold, from US$400bn to US$1.6 trillion, steering the Credit Suisse integration. At HSBC Asset Management she designed a stewardship framework covering US$600bn and as a UK board director overseeing the full investment funds portfolio of HSBC Asset Management. At Federated Hermes EOS she led pioneering work in investment stewardship in Asia and emerging markets.
From 2019 to 2025 she chaired the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), a global investor body whose members oversee roughly US$100 trillion across 40-plus markets.
Most importantly, Christine turns boardroom authority into practical direction. She advises the KPMG International Advisory Council on AI, co-authored the World Economic Forum’s Responsible AI Playbook for Investors (2024), and served on the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group task force on AI data governance. As CEO of Tracker Group, she delivered a full turnaround and embedded AI workflows that generated multi-fold gain in research efficiency.
Her honours include Top 30 Inspirational Women in the City of London, Finance Monthly’s Investment Management Leader of the Year (Asia), and InvestmentWeek’s Sustainable Investment Woman of the Year. She holds a PhD in responsible investment, shortlisted for a United Nations award, plus degrees and education from the LSE, SOAS, University of Melbourne and Stanford University.
