Ahmed Salah's Biography

Ahmed Salah Speaker Profile:

Ahmed Salah is a world-renowned human rights advocate, motivational speaker and a prominent theorist on nonviolent revolution.

Building on his experience in co-founding multiple youth movements in the Middle East, Ahmed learned that there are rarely any truly impossible situations and that even the most powerful corrupt systems can be taken down with creative thinking and passionate work.

From student of philosophy and press tour guide to youth leader to revolutionary, Ahmed’s life inspires and brings hope. A near death experience during a hunger strike changed his thinking and produced ideas that helped Ahmed and his friends succeed against all odds.

Ahmed Salah is the author of “You’re Under Arrest for Masterminding the Egyptian Revolution: A Memoir” (2016). He has received the “Champion of Justice” award from the Center for Justice in and Accountability in 2013 and the “Sui Generis” award from the Sui Generis Foundation in 2016.
