Roopa Purushothaman's Biography

Roopa Purushothaman is a Managing Director and Head of Research for Everstone Capital Advisors. In this role, Roopa covers macro and thematic issues on demographics, income and consumption patterns.

Prior to joining Everstone, Roopa worked as Vice President and Global Economist at Goldman Sachs, where she published papers on topics including long term growth, global trade and migration in the BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China).

Roopa is a member of the Prime Minister’s advisory committee for JNNURM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission), and a member of The Forum of Young Global Leaders. She is also Founder of Avasara Academy, an educational institution focused on accelerating academic and leadership outcomes for India’s brightest girls.
