Ben Hart's Biography

Ben Hart is one of the UK’s leading magicians, renowned for creating theatrical experiences that blur the line between illusion and reality. Blending classic sleight-of-hand with sharp storytelling and original invention, he delivers magic that is not only astonishing, but genuinely memorable.

Hart’s career has been shaped by both craft and credibility. At 16, he won The Magic Circle’s Young Magician of the Year (2007), and in 2018 he received The Magic Circle’s Marvin Rising Star award, alongside membership of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star. In 2019, he became a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, captivating millions with his mind-bending style and effortless stage presence.

On television, Hart wrote and starred in the BBC Three hit Killer Magic (2014), which won at the National Reality Television Awards (2015), and he has appeared on BBC’s Now You See It and Pure Magic. Behind the scenes, he is trusted by major productions for authentic sleight-of-hand, coaching Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (2023), and working with Rami Malek and Russell Crowe on Nuremberg (2025).

On stage, Hart performed in the West End production Impossible at the Noël Coward Theatre (2015 and 2016), and his acclaimed solo shows have become Edinburgh Fringe highlights—from Wonder (2020) to Jadoo (2023) and HeX (2024). In 2025, he returned with The Remarkable Ben Hart, ahead of a major 2025/26 tour. His specialist book for magicians, The Darkest Corners (2020), distils the creativity and performance theory behind his most celebrated work.
