Felipe Massa's Biography
Felipe Massa is a Brazilian motor racing icon whose story blends speed, resilience and reinvention. Over 15 Formula One seasons between 2002 and 2017 he won 11 Grands Prix, claimed 41 podiums and 16 pole positions, and missed the 2008 World Drivers’ Championship by a single point in an unforgettable finale at his home race in São Paulo. Racing for Sauber, Ferrari and Williams, he became one of the paddock’s most respected competitors and leaders.
Today Massa continues to compete at elite level, driving in Brazil’s Stock Car Pro Series for TMG Racing and in the IMSA SportsCar Championship with Riley. In 2024 he finished Stock Car vice-champion, played a decisive role in securing the teams’ title for TMG and stood on the LMP2 podium on his debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona. These experiences allow him to explore how adaptability, preparation and marginal gains translate across different disciplines and industries.
Massa is also at the centre of one of motorsport’s most significant legal battles, challenging the handling of the 2008 “Crashgate” Singapore Grand Prix and its impact on the championship. His ongoing case in London’s High Court, with key hearings scheduled through 2025, offers a powerful lens on governance, transparency and ethics in global sport. On stage he shares what it means to fight for fairness while protecting reputation, relationships and long-term legacy.
Beyond the cockpit, Massa has held influential leadership roles, including president of the FIA Drivers’ Commission and head of the International Karting Commission from 2017 to 2022. Named UNICEF Champion for Brazilian Children in 2007, he uses his profile to advocate for safety, education and opportunity for young people. Drawing on these experiences, he delivers engaging, high-energy keynotes that combine dramatic race stories with practical lessons on risk, resilience, teamwork and integrity for leaders and teams worldwide.
