It is now the widest-released documentary feature film of all time. Screened to parliaments, presidents and UN summits, it has been credited with changing policy at the national and global level, with the viral bottom-trawling clip online now seen by 700 million people. It continues to gain traction worldwide and has been awarded six prestigious awards in the first few months of its release. In a quest to film a unique iguana migration, Toby led a team into the crater of an active volcano - a place fewer people have been than the moon - and nearly died from a toxic gas cloud. He directed a team to the most remote island chain on Earth, in the centre of the Pacific Ocean, where the small inflatable boat he was in was attacked by giant tiger sharks (spoiler - the boat exploded). From tales underwater - filming giant tuna the size of cars and sei whales the size of steam trains within touching distance, to the high Arctic with the world's wildest wolves, and the high Himalayas with snow leopards in snow drifts, there is a lifetime of stories to share that will entertain and inspire an audience about the natural wonders of our world.

Whilst filming fire ants in the Amazon, his boat capsized in the vast river, losing 50 cases of filming equipment and nearly the entire team. In the heart of the Indonesian 'jungle of giant palms', his team came face to face with the rarest large mammal on Earth, barely seen for sixty years. He spent years filming birds of paradise in the cloud forests of Papua New Guinea and discovered an entirely new species of bird in the jungles of Madagascar.
