Steph Driver's Biography

Steph Driver is a strategic communications leader who has shaped messaging at the highest levels of UK public life. A trusted aide to Keir Starmer across opposition and into government, she served as Director of Communications in No.10 in 2025, helping steer the operation following Labour’s 2024 general election win. Her tenure is noted for disciplined narrative, calm crisis handling, and delivery under intense scrutiny.

From 2021, Steph directed Starmer’s communications, playing a pivotal role in Labour’s modernisation and campaign footprint. Earlier, she built deep newsroom relationships and operational rigour at Labour HQ—rising through press and broadcasting roles between 2011 and 2018—demonstrating commercial acumen in agency. In September 2025, she stepped down from No.10 after five years working alongside Starmer, with her contribution widely praised.

On stage, Steph translates high-pressure lessons into clear frameworks leaders can use immediately. She shows how to set narrative, align teams, and respond fast—without losing sight of values or long-term reputation. Her keynotes equip executive teams, communicators, and board leaders to navigate crises, mobilise stakeholders, and communicate with clarity when it matters most.
