Siri Chilazi's Biography
Siri Chilazi is an author, academic researcher, and internationally recognized expert in promoting gender equality in the workplace. As a Senior Research Fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School (since 2017), she examines what works—and what doesn’t—to design workplaces where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. Her life’s work blends rigorous academic research with practical applications, advancing fairness through data-driven design and behavioral science.
Siri specializes in translating cutting-edge research into actionable strategies that leaders and organizations can implement right away. Her expertise spans multiple dimensions of workplace equity, including women’s advancement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), unconscious bias, the gender pay gap, parental leave, flexible and remote work, and talent processes such as hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, retention, and compensation.
She is the co-author, with Iris Bohnet, of Make Work Fair: Data-Driven Design for Real Results (HarperCollins, 2025), which provides individuals and organizations with proven, evidence-based approaches to create fairer, smarter, and more effective workplaces.
