Sophy Ridge, a leading British journalist and broadcaster known for her incisive interviews and sharp political analysis. As the lead politics presenter on Sky News hosting Politics Hub with Sophy Ridge, she has built a reputation for holding power to account with rigor and impartiality. Her calm yet probing interviewing style has made her one of the most trusted voices in British political journalism.

From 2017-23, Sophy made history as the first woman to present a Sunday morning political program, anchoring the award-winning Sophy Ridge on Sunday. During this time, she conducted exclusive interviews with Prime Ministers past and present, including Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, Theresa May, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, and Tony Blair. Sophy has reported from major political hubs, including Washington and Brussels, and witnessed pivotal moments in British politics, such as the first and last days in office for multiple Prime Ministers.

Before stepping into her presenting role, Ridge served as Sky News’ senior political correspondent, where she broke major stories, including Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour leadership victory and Ed Miliband’s resignation as party leader. Her career began at News of the World, where she focused on political, business, and consumer stories before joining Sky News in 2011.
