Comments & Testimonials

Dr Ramani gave a talk at Aperio Intelligence’s offices on 28 June 2023 on the subject of Russia’s foreign policy on Africa and Ukraine. As it happened, the talk took place days after the insurrection by Wagner PSMC forces and their apparent attempted overthrow of the Russian government. Dr Ramani’s talk, fully encompassing what were very recent events, was engaging and struck an effective balance between providing detailed insights and a more high-level, holistic overview of the situation in the wake of the Wagner insurrection. Dr Ramani was also kind enough to make himself available for the Q&A session that followed his talk, as well as the more informal drinks reception we hosted thereafter.

“Your presentation was excellent, the turnout was strong, and we have had great feedback on the event. The best roundtables are those which I come away feeling better informed and this was certainly the case with our conversation.”
Michelle Gavin Former U.S. Ambassador to Botswana and senior fellow for African Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations:
