His work focuses on raising awareness about economic inequality and proposing practical solutions to create a fairer, more inclusive economy.

Stevenson’s career began as an intern at Citibank in 2008. He quickly distinguished himself, accurately predicting the financial crisis of 2007-2008 and the Greek Government Debt Crisis in 2011. His academic pursuits further fueled his dedication to understanding and mitigating economic inequality.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Stevenson demonstrated his adeptness at economic forecasting by predicting a rise in house prices and the cost of shopping, foreseeing an ensuing increase in inequality. He has been featured in Channel 4’s documentary “Cryptocurrency: Has the Bubble Burst?”, appeared on BBC’s Politics Live, and was the subject of Steffan Roe Griffith’s short film “Gary Stevenson – Life Out Of Balance.” In 2024, Stevenson expanded his influence by authoring a memoir, “The Trading Game” – this book is longlisted for the Financial Times best business book of 2024.
