Born in 1963, Hiroshi Ishiguro’s journey in robotics began with his graduation from Yamanashi University in 1986 with a degree in General Science. He furthered his education with a master’s in Engineering in 1988 and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering in 1991, both from Osaka University. In 2000, Ishiguro established the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at Osaka University. His work here, especially the development of Geminoid robots, garnered global attention.
